Design firm Aishwarya Interiors conceptualized the interiors of a 3000 square foot villa in Bangalore. This home is located in a gated community known as Shriram Chirping Woods Villament, set amidst 16 acres of lush greenery and close to two lakes.
The interiors of the house are inspired by Scandinavian design; the space presents a subdued color palette, playing mainly with shades of white. Its crisp white walls are complemented by wooden furniture, large mirrors and contemporary light fixtures. Clean lines and an abundance of natural light define this elegant, welcoming and tastefully functional home. The project leader was Laxmi Deshmukh, while Yogesh Deshmukh, Spoorthi Shetty and Habeeb Rahman were the supporting designers.
âSince the Scandinavian design concept focuses on minimalist lines, natural materials and neutral tones, we have added potted plants to bring a new detail to the house. In addition, the villa is completely clutter free, this was very important for the client. The floors in the living room, kitchen and master bedroom are vitrified tile by Kajaria Ceramics, while the master bedroom and children’s bedroom have parquet floors, âsays Laxmi Deshmukh, Creative Director at Aishwarya Interiors.
The first floor of the house is entirely dedicated to formal and guest spaces; the second floor includes the private quarters of the family. The furniture was designed by Aishwarya Interiors using Hafele and Blum furniture fittings, and the interior decoration accessories and works of art were carefully selected by the customer during his travels abroad.
Villa Bangalore: the living room
The foyer of the house leads to an elegant double-height living room, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of the natural surroundings. The formal living space is furnished with comfortable yet sophisticated sofas in white and brown that indulge in soft colors and textures. The apartment’s living room opens to a dining area in an open floor plan, making it an ideal space for accommodating guests.
