An interior lover revealed how she made festive decorations suitable for handbags. When it comes to budget Christmas decorating ideas, you can’t get better than this.
So if you are in the mood for a bit of craftsmanship, these hanging star wall decorations are a great option. They will add a festive touch to any room in your home, without overwhelming the space.
“It’s the easiest and cheapest Christmas decoration with maximum impact!” Jessica said. “You will need 7 bags, a little string, glue and that’s it!”
âA pack of 10 bags is only £ 1 from @georgeatasda, what a great deal,â she wrote. To make a star, Jessica takes seven brown paper bags from Asda. You can also get them on Amazon.
First of all, she cuts the handles of each bag and makes sure that the bottom is not folded over on itself so as not to spoil the design.
She then draws two lines with a ruler on the paper and a few small semicircles where the lines meet. To even out the circles, she draws around a small roll of duct tape.
Next, Jessica cut out the shape and glue the bags together using T-shaped glue. Next, she cut all the remaining bags of the same shape and hang the star with string.
âSuch a great idea! I need to try this, âcomments one of Jessica’s followers. âIt’s so smart, I love them,â wrote another.
Hanging in small groups of three at different heights, these paper bag Christmas star decorations infuse a fun and festive spirit. Try to put some in the kitchen, an often overlooked room when it comes to decorating.
Alternatively, you can make smaller ones to add to your Christmas fireplace decoration or display in a window.
Besides being inexpensive and easy to make, these brown paper bag stars are the perfect example of an apartment Christmas decoration that won’t make your small space cluttered. They are also ideal if you prefer neutral tones to bright, bold colors.
Once you’ve successfully created one or two, you can play around with different shapes and designs to create something unique.
