Hey! We are Tasha and Ryan, and we went to the VMA this year, where we asked any celebrity who spoke to us to share fun facts about their outfit – and also the most expensive thing they wore.

A week ago, musician Blackbear sent a direct message to Givenchy’s creative director asking him to be dressed for the VMAs – only to be told he needed eight weeks. He got a big box from Givenchy in return.

When asked what was the most expensive item he wore, Blackbear didn’t disappoint. “It’s probably a $160,000 chain of diamond bullets,” he replied.

As for her nails, they are “at least $100,000” of real diamonds.

SNL Star Chloe Fineman’s dress was a cornucopia of snacks, including lentils, gumdrops and detachable pouches filled with treats. Her fingernails had small carrots that “danced to the music of the carpet”.

As for her most expensive item, Chloe pointed to her earrings and said, “I saw Gwyneth Paltrow wearing them yesterday on an Instagram Story, and your daughter ran to the store yesterday and bought them.”

Singer Olivia O’Brien was invited at the last minute and had three days to prepare. “I basically had three options, and this was one of them!” The top of her dress and her necklace are taped, as they kept moving.

As for the most expensive thing – her jewelry.

RuPaul’s Drag Race icon Bob the Drag Queen made her dress the day of the show. The experience brought flashbacks back to the workshop: “I went to buy a bunch of shirts. I didn’t know I would come here until yesterday! So I had to go shopping today. I’m not home, so I had to go to the mall in New Jersey, buy a bunch of shirts, and we made this garment.”

“Nothing is expensive,” she added when asked about the most expensive item. “My teeth? I had my teeth fixed!”

Catfish Co-host Camie Crawford told us about her Hanifa dress, saying, “It’s really hot. Literally and also, I’m hot — I’m sweating.”

She had “no idea” the price of the runway look, but pointed to the Cartier bracelet she had bought for her 29th birthday. “She is quite expensive,” she added.

Musician Betty Who’s look has unhealthy origins: “I told the designer I was trying to energize James Bond/Slytherin, and he did that for me,” said she told BuzzFeed. Her nails also featured a small moon.

The “diamonds” on his fingers are the most expensive.

Wild ‘N Out’s Justina Valentine opted for a boutique look to avoid ‘Who wore it better’ stories. It was practical too: “I have a hole here if I have to pee or have a fall.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14 contestant Kerri Colby said of her Mugler look: “It may look beautiful, it may look simple, it may look like sport. It took me a good 29 minutes to get into it. I I will say the more nerves I sweat from being here for the first time, it gets a little more personalized.”

As for the most expensive item, her necklace took first place. “I worked hard,” she added. “I wanted something that sparkles. A little gem you can bite into.”

It took ‘Fingers Crossed’ singer Lauren Spencer-Smith 20 minutes to figure out how to buckle her belt, which included a failed attempt to film herself and send it to her stylist. In the end, her mother came to the rescue and she added, “My mother had to do it. It was a lot.”

Her most expensive items were her Bottega earrings – which are made of glass, which means “If they fall, they break, and I’m going to have to pay for it.”
