For $43 million, you could own this 23,688 square foot home in University Park.

It is a custom home designed by architect Richard Drummond Davis, and it is situated on a 1.84 acre lot in the prestigious area of Volk Estates. The construction of the house started in 2018 and the works are still in progress. Due to supply chain delays, items like handrails, some exterior stones, and pool accessories have yet to arrive.

The big real estate project began as a custom home for Christy Thompson, daughter of the late wildcat J. Cleo Thompson. Last summer, Thompson said The news that she was listing the house because she wanted to take advantage of the current real estate market. Thompson also owns several luxury rental properties across the United States. If that University Park home doesn’t sell, she said she plans to move in, though she’s not sure of the timeline.

The house has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and three half bathrooms. There is also a home cinema, yoga and exercise room, sauna, spa, large living rooms and a large kitchen. The house has multiple garages with 10 designated spaces, but co-listing agent Diana Stewart said you could fit more cars if needed.

Allie Beth Allman, who also co-lists the property, said it’s the foyer with its grand double staircases and black and white “panda” marble that sets the tone for the rest of the house.

“The house itself is the most amazing quality I’ve ever seen in a home,” Allman said, noting that it’s impossible to find many this size in the Volk Estates neighborhood. “He has a wonderful flow, so he doesn’t feel as big as he is.”

You will find luxury details throughout the house. There’s an amethyst fireplace in the library, a green onyx bar in the great room, blue-hued quartzite countertops in the kitchen, and Indian doors in the master suite that have mother-of-pearl inlay. Note that the house has geothermal heating and cooling, solar panels and a 15,000 gallon underground water tank.
