Home prices have risen dramatically this year, making it harder for those looking to buy their first home. So people are still praising. But San Antonio rents don’t necessarily go down. From finding your perfect new home to negotiating rental prices, finding an apartment in San Antonio can be quite an experience. Taking inspiration from our sister post SFGate in San Francisco, MySA takes a look at local properties showcasing the best, the worst, and everything in between here in Alamo City. Let’s guess the rent.

Today we’re taking a look at the two bedroom, two bathroom Craigslist listing located at 512 Hunstock Avenue, south of several historic San Antonio neighborhoods, including King William, Lavaca, and Southtown.

The 1,300-square-foot home is about a 10-minute walk from Roosevelt Park and a trail along the San Antonio River, perfect for biking.

The person who posted this on Craigslist said the rental was in a “large, gentrifying area.”

Wait what?

This fireplace is just for the show, but you could probably do a lot with this piece.

We will start in the living room. You will immediately notice the original parquet floors, which can be found throughout the house.

I like good shelves. The shelves in this bedroom are perfectly integrated in a corner. The ceilings throughout the house are noticeably higher than most homes. It’s a selling point for some people if you like that sort of thing.

The kitchen comes with new appliances according to the Craigslist post. Check out this dark tile backsplash. Is it slate? Someone is emailing me if it’s not slate.

The white tiles and the pedestal sink - it's a pretty bathroom.

This is one of the two bathrooms in the rental. If you have a weakness for white tile walls and pedestal sinks, this bathroom is for you. The other bathroom has a walk-in shower.
