This holiday season, the Deering Estate embraces the season and continues its celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Stone House by taking us back to the glitz and glamor of the early 20th century. Inspired by the cultural explosion of jazz and cinema that was flourishing at the time, the interior decorations of the houses will celebrate the magnetism and effervescence of the decade. Rooms in Stone House and Richmond Cottage will be decorated as they would have been in the 1920s. This year, the Richmond Cottage dining room will be dressed and adorned with elegant holiday details and staged in the a celebratory dinner to ring in the holiday season as it might have been at the time of the Deering residence. The Stone House Library will toast the rise of the Golden Age of Cinema with accents and decor that capture the magic and splendor of vintage Hollywood.

Guests are invited to experience a daytime visit to the Deering Estate this holiday season. The Deering Estate holiday decor includes more than a dozen Holiday Trees, from the 17-foot tall tree in the Great Hall to others in the Historic Homes that will be lavishly decorated to accentuate the architectural details and fine furnishings of the historic structures. Each room is carefully designed and dressed by a group of award-winning professional interior designers, led by Deering Estate’s designer-in-residence, Alfredo Brito.
